    Living on Campus

    Campus Housing

Students will stay in a residential hall on NYU’s main campus near Washington Square Park or Union Square Park and will live with other summer program students. NYU’s residential halls are co-ed, and each room or suite will have its own bathroom. Lounges are available for student study spaces and socializing, and each hall has a laundry room. Each floor has its own Program Assistant (P.A.), a NYU college student who will be your main resource and guide during the program.

The residence hall is led by a team of professional administrators who oversee building operations, supervise the P.A.s, help plan and execute the events and activities offered during the summer, and serve as an important resource for students whenever they have a question or need.

All students living on campus must check-in to their residential hall no later than 11:00 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 12:00 a.m. Friday-Saturday, students may leave the hall after 7:00 a.m. each day.  All students must be in their rooms and adhere to quiet hours at 1:00 a.m. nightly . Students are required to submit their NYUCard to the residence hall front desk each night by curfew in order to be in compliance.

明升体育-即时比分Living with someone else, getting to know your roommate, and learning how to respectfully share your space is one of the great benefits of living on campus as a college student . Because of limited space in the residential hall and the goal of the residential experience to allow students to broaden their experiences and meet new people, students are not allowed roommate requests.

Students will be automatically enrolled in a that gives students 10 meals per week. Students may sign up for a larger meal plan at an increased cost if they choose. Dining halls will be available to students seven days a week. .

    Leaving Campus

NYU does not have an enclosed campus. While students will be accompanied by faculty or program staff while on class and program-sponsored events or field trips, students can leave campus on their own during their off time if they choose . More information about the policies and rules for leaving campus is available in the . Students, parents, and guardians are encouraged to carefully review the Handbook and discuss among themselves expectations for off-campus travel and safety in the city.

    Overnight or Weekend Leave

Parents must submit advance notice if a residential student will be off-campus overnight or over a weekend if they are attending the program multiple weeks. Overnight Leave Forms can be found in the . Forms are due at least 48 hours in advance of the student’s time away.

    Move-In and Move-Out

Students may move in to the residence hall on the Sunday prior to class. We ask all students to move in no later than 2:00 p.m.  That will give you enough time to settle into your room before attending orientation. Students cannot move into the residence hall before Sunday. If you arrive in New York City before the program begins, you should find your own accommodation in the city.

Students must move out by 12:00 p.m. on Saturday after the program ends. Students are not allowed to extend their stay.

We hope the information you and your student find on this website is helpful as you prepare for the program. As a parent, the best thing you can do to assist your student with preparations is to discuss the program with one another.  Conversations about what to expect while studying at NYU and experiencing life as an undergraduate student can be immensely helpful.

Students sometimes arrive on campus with little information about what they need to do or what their experience will be like at NYU, because parents take the lead on preparations . If you are overseeing program preparations, we encourage you to include your student . It will help them know what to expect before they arrive and get the most out of their NYU experience once they are here.
